Join the Goulburn Valley Group for their first 2026 IDT/Round Table discussion in April and enjoy a presentation on Anaesthesiology, led by Dr Andrew Walker.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognise and manage potential complications associated with dental anaesthesia, including local and systemic adverse events such as toxicity, nerve injury, and allergic reactions.
- Understand the indications, contraindications, and patient selection criteria for dental treatment under general anaesthesia, including assessment of medical risk adn when GA is appropriate over local anaesthesia or sedation.

Dr Andrew Walters (Anaesthetist - MD, FANZCA)
Dr. Andrew Walters is an anaesthetist and a recent arrival from Seattle, USA, where he spent the last 10 years in practice at the University of Washington. He has a deep interest in anaesthetic training with specific expertise in regional anesthesia and medical informatics. Outside of work, he spends his time trying to corral his 5 and 2-year-old boys, and teach them that camping is a way of life.
