Are you Combat - Ready against Peri - Implant Disease?
The number of implants placed in our patients is increasing exponentially, and the complexity of the prostheses supported by dental implants is becoming more sophisticated. We are the designers and direct performers of these treatments. The peri-implant disease has a prevalence of approximately 20% at the patient level and 15% at the implant level. The progression of peri-implant disease is faster and less east to treat than periodontal disease. This disease is coming like a wave, and we need to be informed about its aetiology, diagnosis, management and treatment protocols.

Dr Gabriel Rodriguez-Ortiz
Gabriel moved to Australia after completing a DDS program at the University of Antioquia, Colombia. He then completed a Graduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2006 and a DCD in Periodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2017. He currently works as a specialist in private practice in Bundoora, and in Queens Road, Melbourne. He is also a clinical demonstrator to the periodontal postgraduate students at the University of Melbourne. Gabriel enjoys family life and is a big fan of water polo and road cycling.
