Celebrating ADAVB women on International Women's Day
This International Women’s Day we introduce our committee members and emerging leaders on our Recent Graduates and Students Committee (RGSC).
First up we have Dr Angela Zhang, Co-Chair of the RGSC.
Why did you join the RGSC?
By being a part of the RGSC, I want to be able to contribute to making the transition from a university dental student to a professional dentist easier for my current and future colleagues.
Tell us about a woman who has inspired you in your work, life or studies.
This is a very hard question indeed to just give an example of one woman as I truly believe that we can learn from each and every woman. We are such intelligent, kind, helpful, giving humans and there is nothing more powerful when we all share our experiences and learnings with each other.
The theme of IWD 2021 is ‘Choose to challenge’. What does this mean to you?
Always to keep challenging the norm and keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone in a kind and loving way - in life, career, friendships, health and family.
Find out more about the new RGSC members in the upcoming April Victorian Dentist!
Applications open for all other ADAVB committees in April. Visit adavb.org/about/our-people/committees to find out more and apply.
